Every Saturday, Green Coast Radio makes room for a little swing, soul, history and late-night-club energy with the 8:30 Jazz Podcast, hosted by Herman “Hollywood” Dawkins and Ray “The Jazz Man.”

Herman and Ray bring more than just a stack of great records. They bring the stories behind the music, the personalities, the history and the kind of conversation that comes from people who genuinely love jazz.

The show moves through the many sides of the genre — from the legends who built the foundation to deep cuts, forgotten favorites and artists worth hearing again. Along the way, Herman “Hollywood” Dawkins and Ray “The Jazz Man” keep things relaxed, knowledgeable and personal.

You don’t have to be a jazz historian to enjoy the show. If you already love the music, you’ll feel right at home. If you’re still learning your way around jazz, 8:30 Jazz is a great place to start.

It’s about good music, good stories and keeping the culture alive.
